No other sunset could ever compare to a Florida sunset. A florida sunset engulfs you in the most spectacular colors you could ever imagine, it seeps into your soul and makes time pause. The world stops turning and two lovers who sit on a park bench sharing the warmth of a sweater become lost in a world all their own. A moment has stood still and for once they can stop frantically keeping up with life, with school work, and clubs, and sports, and holidays, they can just exist in the here and now of the sunset. The brilliant pinks, and somber purples sink into their skin, it softens the harsh edges of the surrounding landscape, casting a yellow glow onto the grass and the lake by which the two sat. Each color in the imaginable spectrum dances across the clouds echoing the carefree nature of the waves that break against the shore of the lake. The sun flares as it meets with the horizon, preparing to greet another culture, steadily making her rounds, dedicated to her neverending occupation.

So they sit and they watch, and they make quiet conversation, and they hold hands. One rests her head on the others shoulder. They sigh, and embrace the gift they have been given. The world pauses solely for them and they think not about those who keep spinning around in the galaxy. A cool breeze runs past them, one that is unusual to the temperament of their everyday world, it sings to them and whistles a tune that can only be heard by that of their beating hearts. When the world begins to turn again, they know they will face opposition and judgement handed out by those who are frightened by what they do not understand. They do not worry about civil rights, or what others would think, not about what lies ahead for them, the struggles they will face, the way they will be torn from one another, or about the pain they will experience. They think only of this moment, holding the memory of that beautiful sunset close to their heart, and keeping the memory of each other closer.

I've taken to blasting "Out Tonight" with my windows down on the way home from work.

It's pretty much the one bright spot of my weekends. (Other than talking my pack/lover)

Today would make it four years. Four years since she had parted ways with... him, four years since she had stopped being the sidekick, and started being the hero.

Tightschic surveyed the surrounding city from her perch on top of an office building, taking a deep breath of the cool night air. This, this is what she lived for, to protect and defend the innocent. A scream in the night, a distant sound really, but heard well enough that TC could determine the direction from whence it came. A twinge of fear reached her, thrown out from a victim crying for help, lucky for them their pleas were heard. The young hero clutched her comic book tighter in her red gloved hand (an original Amazing Spiderman, issue #157), and she could feel the strength surge through her body.

She leaped from rooftop to rooftop in the direction of the cries, only hoping that she got there in time. (She could feel her muscles bulk up with power in the way that only the best comics could supplement her strength.) Finally she halted at the edge of a lower building, spotting the crime in the streets below, an old woman was held at gunpoint by a masked man. She descended onto the street below, allowing the adrenaline to surge through her body. She would not allow evil to be the victor. The criminal would not get away with his tirade, not tonight, not on her watch.

Today, I arrived home to find my sister screaming at our dog. Apparently, the dog had completely destroyed her 'Twilight' book. The dogs name is Buffy. I laughed at the irony. MLIA

Two lone figures sat on the floor of the communal pack house. Two lone figures. A Ferret and Fox. One stared long and deep at the other, and one moved her sight around the room, avoiding the others' stare. The distance between the two was ackward. The tension was nearly visible, like an invisible pully was trying it's best to move, but the two wouldn't budge. A long shaky sigh excuded from the ferret, her heart beat so loud it almost created a rhythm to the moment. Her body shuddered, and there was evidence that she had been crying.
The fox opened her mouth to speak but closed it again, deciding there was nothing more to be said. She met the ferrets gaze. She met her sparkling gaze, and shuddered herself. Again she opened her mouth...only to whine.

The ferret spoke first. Haltingly, pausing to bring her face to the side so as to hide the tears and the shaking. "Do...you st- Do you still want this? Want me?".

"Yes!" The fox responded quickly, brows furrowed.

"Then-that's all that -matters" the ferret managed between the shaking.

Something gave. The pully won out and the fox right next to the ferret in a matter of milliseconds, holding the mustelids' curled up form close to her own body. "Yes." she murmered. The ferret's will gave way and she sobbed into her lovers shoulder.

"D- d-do you still love me?" The sobbing ferret asked. She was pulled closer. "I adore you."

Two figures sat on the floor of the communal pack house. They knew that they'd work through this.
They knew that everything would be ok

And the guy (i guess the manager or something...) looks like TONY STARK TRUE STORY. GEEK MOMENT. Just had to share. (I am amused)

It's a brand new day...

So I'm sitting here in Hammond Commons, waiting for 7:15 (which, whaddya know it is) so I can eat breakfast. Started my Ringling Orientation yesterday. It was fantastic and I can't wait for the rest of the weekend. I got to meet Sam Hoffman and Jacquelynn Harris and Arianna (Whitfield, ithink...) . They were all super amazing and I can tell I'm going to make friends very easily here. I wish I had something more interesting to say at the moment...the cafeteria doesn't seem ready to serve yet, but some of the staff working have already seen me here and gave me a realy nice smile and said hi. I love how friendly everyone is...and I'm not talking about like movie theater worker friendly where it almost seems fake sometimes (because it totally is) but everyone is genuinely happy.
All of the students are EXCITED about school, which...is a big step coming straight out of high school. And everyones artwork is so awesome, I can't wait to see what everyone in my class creates.
...I think I'm really going to enjoy it here...

(the free laptop isn't a bad touch either...)

Odd jobs
